About Me

I’m Shawn Whelan, a life-long passionate artist and graphic designer from Northern New Jersey with more than fifteen years of professional experience in print and web design. I’m a creative thinker with intense focus and a strong work ethic. It is important for me that I put my whole heart and effort into everything I do. I am always viewing the world through the eyes and emotions of an artist. As an artist, I was recognized for my art work in the 2007 West Orange Energy Diet and the 2000 West Orange Cow Parade in The New York Times, The Star-Ledger, and New Jersey Monthly.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design from The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and completed graduate course work in art education at Montclair State University. My professional experience includes, working in an advertising agency and for a printing shop. I currently work for Media Group Online, Inc. previously THE MEDIACENTER where I specialize in the design and development of the Website as well as some of the day to-day-operations of the company. When I’m not working for Media Group Online, Inc., I enjoy reading and studying the latest trends in technology, watching movies and NBA basketball, exploring the world, and creating art. I currently live in Landing, NJ with my wife and two children.
